About

Family campsite in the Lusatian Mountains

Kemp Černá Louže lies on the border of the Lusatian and Jizera mountains, between the villages of Rynoltice and Jablonné v Podještědí. A quiet setting for families, couples and small groups.

On site you will find cabins with and without private bathroom, caravan pitches with electrical hookup, and a tent meadow. Shared outdoor kitchen, fire pit, children's playground, sports field and an indoor common room for children and adults are available — the latter especially handy when the weather turns.

What to do nearby

Castles, swimming, mountain views. Our picks of places you can reach easily by car or bike from the campsite.

Elephant Stones (White Stones)

Hiking

White sandstone rocks rounded like the backs of resting elephants — a nature monument just above Jítrava. A short hop from the campsite, the perfect first walk with kids or by bike.

Hvozd (Hochwald)

Hiking

A twin summit on the Czech–Saxon border (749 m) with a lookout tower and mountain inn on top. The climb from Krompach is moderate; the reward is a view deep into Saxony.

Ještěd and the Ještěd Ridge

Hiking

The iconic peak (1012 m) crowned by the hyperboloid hotel-transmitter and a 360° view. Take the cable car up, or walk the ridge — a marked trail runs the whole way.

Peklo gorge

Hiking

The cool valley of the Robečský brook near Zahrádky — damp, romantic rocks, footbridges and floodplain forest. The easy trail along the gorge floor is refreshing on hot days.

Klíč — peak with a view

Hiking

A distinctive cone of the Lusatian Mountains (760 m) with one of the finest views around. The climb from Polevsko is moderate; the summit rocks attract experienced climbers.

Bohemian Switzerland — Elbe Sandstones

Hiking

A national park with the Pravčická brána rock arch, the Kamenice gorges and deep forests. A full-day trip to the region’s most famous rock paradise — expect a proper dose of hiking.

Bohemian Paradise and Malá Skála

Hiking

A geopark full of rock towns, viewpoints and castles — for instance around Malá Skála and the Suché skály ridge. A paradise for a full-day hike that suits both kids and seasoned walkers.
